The cost of the newly released Zeekr X electric car has been reduced to $7000, just a few months after its initial release, as the Chinese brand prepares to introduce new models.
The base model Zeekr X RWD now begins at $49,900 before factoring in on-road expenses, reflecting a $7000 price reduction. Buyers can still opt for the Convenience Package with a variant for an extra $4000.
Meanwhile, the top-tier Zeekr X AWD is now available starting at $62,900 before on-road costs, which is a $2000 decrease from its previous price.
Effective from April 1, 2025, Zeekr’s price reductions arrive in response to intensifying competition within the electric vehicle market, especially in the $50,000 to $60,000 price range.

Zeekr Australia general manager William Zhou highlighted that the price adjustments are part of a strategy to stay in tune with market trends and maintain Zeekr’s leading position in the electric vehicle industry.
The move will introduce innovative models and elevate the Zeekr driving experience, he added.
To compensate earlier Zeekr X buyers, current owners of AWD and RWD models will receive complimentary servicing for three and five years, respectively.
Although local deliveries of the Zeekr X commenced last year, its sales data only began appearing in VFACTS reports this year.

As reported by Carexpert, this year, Zeekr has recorded sales of 179 units of the X. In comparison, Volvo has sold 385 units of the EX30, which shares the Geely SEA platform, during the same timeframe. While the X marked the debut of Chinese brand in the local market, it was soon joined by the massive 009 electric people mover. Additionally, the 7X mid-size electric SUV is slated for a late 2025 launch.
Founded in 2021, Zeekr is a member of the Geely Auto group, which also encompasses Volvo, Polestar, and Lotus. The brand has been actively broadening its international presence and now operates in more than 40 markets worldwide.
