Aimed at tackling the growing safety challenges brought about by diverse seating positions in self-driving vehicles, this innovative suite of solutions targets to reduce the risk of injury during collisions.
The evolution of autonomous vehicles brings forth new comforts within the passenger cabin, granting the luxury of reclined, rotated, or slid seating positions. This diversification, while enhancing passenger experience, unveils unique safety challenges.
Traditional safety systems, conceived with an upright seating position as the norm, show limited efficacy in safeguarding passengers seated differently. Recognizing this safety shortfall, Yanfeng took the lead in devising tailored solutions for the changing face of mobility.
An intense development journey of three years has resulted in Yanfeng’s significant progress in protecting passengers in large-angle reclined seating positions. These innovations have not only contributed to passenger safety but also earned the company over 60 patents.
Yanfeng’s avant-garde safety solution comprises several novel components, providing comprehensive safeguarding for occupants across all forward seating positions – from standard to largely reclined.
This ground-breaking safety suite includes the Pre-Crash Seat Rapid Return mechanism, a Follow-Up Seat (FUS), an All Belt Seat (ABTS) system, coupled with the industry-first Buttock Airbag (BAB) and Hoodie Airbag (HAB). Each component plays a pivotal role in fortifying passenger safety across a spectrum of collision scenarios.
