Xiaomi Corporation, the renowned smartphone manufacturer, launched its SU7 Ultra EV, a high-performance variant of its SU7 sedan, marking its debut in the fully electric vehicle segment.
With a starting price of Â¥529,900 ($72,990), the SU7 Ultra is positioned by Xiaomi as a ‘high-performance luxury vehicle.’
The SU7 Ultra measures 201 inches in length, 78 inches in width, and 58 inches in height, with a wheelbase spanning 118 inches. Powered by three self-developed electric motors, the sedan delivers an impressive 1,527 hp, enabling it to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 1.98 seconds. According to Xiaomi, the car reaches a top speed of 350 km/h (217 mph).

Equipped with a 93.7-kilowatt-hour lithium-ion battery pack supplied by Chinese battery manufacturer CATL, the vehicle offers a China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle cruising range of up to 620 km (385 miles). The battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in 11 minutes. The vehicle features an AI-powered voice assistant and an in-vehicle operating system, both developed by Xiaomi.
Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun revealed on social media that the SU7 Ultra received over 20,000 orders within two hours of its sales launch.

Xiaomi has also revealed that it will offer the Nurburgring Nordschleife Limited Edition of the SU7 Ultra, priced at ¥814,900 ($112,159). The company stated that this special edition will be delivered to customers after completing its lap challenge on the Nurburgring Nordschleife track later this year.
Xiaomi’s first EV, the SU7, hit the Chinese market in April 2024. By January 2025, the SU7 had achieved sales exceeding 162,000 units, according to the China Passenger Car Association.
