Wallbox, a global leader in electric vehicle charging and energy management solutions, has unveiled the Supernova PowerRing, a next-generation fast-charging system capable of delivering up to 400 kW per outlet and a total shared system capacity of 720 kW.
The system combines high-performance power delivery with a modular and space-efficient design, making it well-suited for destination, commercial, and semi-public charging locations.
The PowerRing connects multiple Wallbox Supernova DC chargers into a unified network that shares energy intelligently between units.
By pooling unused power, the system dynamically adjusts output based on real-time demand, ensuring each outlet performs at optimal efficiency while reducing idle energy consumption and infrastructure costs.

Each configuration can include up to three Supernova chargers and six charging outlets, supporting scalable installations of 240, 480, or 720 kW depending on site requirements.
According to Eduard Castañeda, Chief Product & Technology Officer at Wallbox, the design prioritizes flexibility, reliability, and long-term value: “Supernova PowerRing was designed to make economic sense today while being ready for the future, delivering flexibility, performance, and reliability within a compact footprint.”
The first phase of PowerRing introduces dynamic power sharing between units, allowing operators to allocate power where it’s needed most and maintain higher uptime during peak usage.

Future updates will enable energy redistribution even when individual connectors are active, as well as cross-site power optimization through intelligent algorithms.
Compact and scalable, PowerRing is designed for versatile deployment across urban retail centers, highway rest stops, and commercial parking facilities. Its simplified installation process aims to reduce costs and speed up deployment for operators.
Castañeda added that the innovation “redefines how charging infrastructure can scale efficiently, allowing operators to serve more drivers with less space, less cost, and less complexity, all while maintaining top charging speeds.”
Wallbox plans to roll out Supernova PowerRing in Q1 2026, starting in Southern Europe, Benelux, and the UK/Ireland, before expanding into additional global markets, including the United States, as part of its phased international launch.
