Tata Technologies declared on Thursday that Volvo Cars has chosen the company as a key partner for engineering services, further strengthening its ongoing collaboration. This extended partnership will concentrate on crucial domains such as product design and development, vehicle systems and components, embedded software engineering, and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technologies.
Tata Technologies will tap into its worldwide delivery network to support the collaboration, providing services from its major facilities in Sweden, India, Romania, and Poland. Gothenburg will play a central role as the Automotive Center of Excellence, coordinating the partnership’s engineering efforts.

Warren Harris, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Technologies emphasized that being selected highlights the company’s dedication to providing cutting-edge automotive software and digital engineering services on a global scale. He added that the partnership reflects the company’s mission to develop engineering innovations that advance safety, promote sustainability, and elevate user experiences in intelligent vehicles.
The alliance is anticipated to boost Volvo Cars’ worldwide engineering capabilities by leveraging Tata Technologie’s specialized knowledge, flexible delivery approaches, and extensive experience in driving automotive innovation.

The association expands upon the established collaboration between the two firms. Tata Technologies—publicly listed on the BSE and NSE under the ticker symbols 544028 and TATATECH—focuses on delivering product engineering and digital transformation solutions tailored to the automotive sector.
Tata Technologies states that its mission is to support companies across the automotive, aerospace, and related industries in designing, developing, and delivering products that enhance stakeholder quality of life. The announcement was made through a regulatory filing with the BSE and NSE, as required under India’s listing disclosure requirements. Details regarding the financial aspects and duration of the supplier agreement were not made public.
