Vinfast has officially launched in India with its first two electric SUVs, the VF6 and VF7, marking a major step in the Vietnamese automaker’s global expansion. The models were first showcased at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2024, with pre-bookings commencing in July at a token amount of ₹11,000.
Both SUVs are being locally assembled at Vinfast’s new facility in the SIPCOT Industrial Park, Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu, through completely knocked down (CKD) kits. Alongside competitive pricing, Vinfast is offering an unprecedented 10-year comprehensive warranty, a first in the Indian automotive industry.

The company also outlined an aggressive retail and service strategy, aiming to establish its presence across 27 cities with 35 dealerships and 26 workshops by the end of 2025.
Vinfast VF6
The VF6 is available in three variants, Earth, Wind, and Wind Infinity, with prices starting from ₹16.49 lakh (ex-showroom). It features a 59.6 kWh battery pack that provides an ARAI-certified range of up to 468 km, powering a front-wheel-drive motor.

Vinfast VF7
Positioned as the larger SUV, the VF7 measures over 4.5 meters with a 2,840 mm wheelbase. It is offered in five trims, Earth, Wind, Wind Infinity, Sky, and Sky Infinity, with prices starting at ₹20.89 lakh (ex-showroom). Buyers can choose between front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive, along with two battery options.
VF7 Earth: 59.6 kWh battery, 130 kW power, 250 Nm torque, fast-charging 10–70% in 24 minutes. Features include vegan leather upholstery, colour HUD, dual-zone AC, powered driver seat, and 19-inch alloy wheels.
VF7 Wind: 70.8 kWh battery, 150 kW power, 310 Nm torque, 0–100 km/h in 9.5 seconds. Added highlights include ventilated seats, a powered tailgate, premium interiors, 8-speaker audio, adaptive cruise control, and a driver monitoring system.
VF7 Sky: Dual-motor AWD producing 260 kW and 500 Nm, sprinting 0–100 km/h in 5.8 seconds. Infinity trims introduce a panoramic fixed glass roof for added luxury.
Across all variants, standard features mirror those of the VF6, including advanced safety systems, ADAS Level 2, 12.9-inch infotainment, connected car tech, and multiple driving modes.
