Tesla has opened its first V4 Supercharger station in India at One BKC in Mumbai, signaling the start of its plan to roll out eight Superchargers nationwide. The facility includes four 250kW Superchargers and four 11kW Destination Chargers. The launch comes shortly after Tesla’s recent entry into the Indian market.
The Superchargers, offering up to 250 kW, can be used at a cost of ₹24 per kWh; therefore, a full charge for the Model Y costs around ₹1,800 for the Standard variant and over ₹2,000 for the Long Range. In contrast, the 11 kW Destination Chargers are more budget-friendly at ₹14 per kWh, cutting the cost nearly in half. All payments can be made conveniently through the Tesla app.
As in other markets, Tesla owners in India can also monitor real-time charger availability, track charging progress, and view battery status using the app.
Tesla Model Y owners can gain up to 267 km of driving range in just 15 minutes using the company’s Superchargers, which offer an impressive 99.95% uptime, ensuring near-continuous availability.

The Model Y also features a built-in navigation system that guides drivers to the nearest Supercharger and automatically preconditions the battery en route to optimize charging efficiency upon arrival.
Tesla is set to expand its Supercharger network with new stations planned for Lower Parel, Thane, and Navi Mumbai by September. The company also plans to launch its second experience center in Delhi, along with additional Supercharger installations in Aerocity, Noida, and Gurugram.
Tesla’s rollout of new charging stations complements its efforts around its first vehicle in India—the Model Y. Offered in Standard and Long Range versions, the Model Y underscores Tesla’s dedication to strengthening its footprint in India’s evolving electric vehicle landscape.
