Royal Enfield, the renowned motorcycle manufacturer, is gearing up to expand its adventure-touring lineup with the upcoming Himalayan 750. The bike was recently spotted undergoing testing in Southern Europe, indicating that it is nearing production readiness.
A Major Upgrade for Adventure Enthusiasts
The Himalayan series has earned a strong following among adventure and touring enthusiasts due to its rugged build and powerful performance. Currently available with a 650cc engine, the upcoming model is expected to feature a 750cc twin-cylinder engine, offering increased power and enhanced touring capabilities.
Expected Specifications and Features
The Himalayan 750 will be equipped with an advanced 750cc twin-cylinder engine, an upgrade from the existing 650cc variant. Reports suggest that this new powertrain will generate over 51 bhp and 59 Nm of torque, paired with a six-speed transmission for smoother performance.
Designed for long-distance travel, the bike will feature a larger fuel tank, an updated front cowl, and an extended windscreen to enhance rider comfort and aerodynamics. Additionally, the Himalayan 750 is expected to include modern features such as a gear-position indicator, Bluetooth connectivity, and a large TFT display with navigation support.
Design and Braking System
Visually, the Himalayan 750 will showcase a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear spoke wheel setup, accompanied by adjustable upside-down forks and an adjustable monoshock suspension system. A significant upgrade is the dual front disc braking system with Bybre calipers, making it the most advanced braking setup ever seen on a Royal Enfield motorcycle.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
Although Royal Enfield has not officially disclosed details regarding the launch, the recent sighting suggests that the Himalayan 750 is nearly production-ready. Internally referred to as Project R2G, the bike is expected to debut in 2026.
