Renault Group and Geely Holding have announced a framework agreement to expand their strategic cooperation in producing and selling zero- and low-emission vehicles in Brazil. The partnership, executed through Renault do Brasil, aims to enhance their industrial and commercial footprint in the South American automotive market.
As part of the agreement, Geely Holding will invest in Renault do Brasil, becoming a minority shareholder. This investment will grant Geely access to Renault’s localized production, sales, and service resources.

The pact includes utilizing Renault Group’s advanced Ayrton Senna Complex facilities in São José dos Pinhais, Paraná, for the production of all-new zero- and low-emission vehicles from both Renault and Geely, alongside Renault’s current lineup.
In addition to production, Renault do Brasil will serve as the distributor of Geely’s zero- and low-emission vehicle portfolio, leveraging Renault’s strong commercial presence to accelerate Geely’s business expansion in Brazil, the largest automotive market in South America.
Luca de Meo, CEO of Renault Group, highlighted the success of their previous collaborations with Geely in Korea and the Horse joint venture, emphasizing the trust and effective partnership built over time. He stated that the new cooperation in Brazil would consolidate Renault’s industrial presence in Paraná and strengthen its brand position in a key market.

Eric Li, Chairman of Geely Holding Group, emphasized that the partnership reflects Geely’s commitment to global collaboration for sustainable industry transformation. He noted that the relationship with Renault, from South Korea to powertrain technologies and now Brazil, fosters mutual benefits through shared synergies and efficiencies.
Daniel Li, CEO of Geely Holding Group, underlined the importance of global partnerships in the evolving automotive industry, advocating for openness, collaboration, and long-term development to drive growth.
