Nissan has introduced the all-new Townstar Crew Van, expanding its light commercial vehicle (LCV) lineup with a model designed to cater adeptly to the varying demands of European enterprises. This latest version builds on the successful L2 Townstar, offering enhanced space utilization and versatility, essential for businesses seeking additional operational capabilities.
The Townstar Crew Van distinguishes itself through exceptional adaptability, allowing rapid reconfiguration of its interior to suit changing cargo needs. Its second-row seats, engineered for one-handed operation, can be folded down in seconds, transforming the vehicle into a secure, five-seater workspace. This adjustment not only maximizes passenger comfort with personalized safety features but also increases cargo space to 3.1m3.
Performance does not take a backseat, as the vehicle features one of the broadest door openings in its category, facilitating easy access and efficient loading. It supports a substantial payload of up to 845kg and offers a robust towing capacity of 1,500kg with a braked trailer, ensuring that versatility and power coexist harmoniously.
Andrew Limbert, Nissan Europe’s Light Commercial Vehicle Manager, underscored the importance of the vehicle for small and medium enterprises: “SME businesses are more than just jobs – they represent people’s livelihoods, dreams and ambitions. As they diversify to remain competitive in today’s tough economy, it’s crucial that we provide transport solutions that are as agile as they are.”
“With comfort for drivers and passengers, and adaptability and performance all front of mind, the Townstar Crew Van ensures that our customers have a model that suits all manner of needs, in a working environment where no two days are the same,” he added.
Nissan also advances its environmental commitment with an all-electric variant of the Townstar Crew Van. Powered by a 45kWh battery, this eco-friendly model delivers a commendable range of up to 278km per charge, making it an attractive option for businesses prioritizing sustainability. Its rapid charging capability ensures a swift energy replenish, reducing downtime and boosting productivity.
State-of-the-art safety and connectivity features round out the Townstar Crew Van’s offerings. Technologies such as hands-free parking, the Intelligent Around View Monitor, and the Intelligent Emergency Braking System enhance driver confidence and safety. Meanwhile, integration with the NissanConnect app provides drivers with seamless access to essential navigational and operational data, fortifying both safety and efficiency.
Nissan guarantees reliability with a comprehensive 5-year or 160,000-kilometre warranty and extends an 8-year warranty on the electric model’s battery, assuring long-term serviceability and customer satisfaction.
