MAN Truck & Bus has introduced a new digital service, MAN SimplePay, in collaboration with UTA Edenred, a leading European mobility service provider. This innovative platform aims to streamline fleet management by offering customers greater transparency and control over their operating costs.
MAN SimplePay allows users to digitally store fuel and charging cards, enabling fleet managers to prioritize them for specific vehicles. The platform is hosted on the RIO system, where it consolidates various day-to-day business costs, such as fuel, parking, and vehicle washing, into one user-friendly interface. This provides a clear overview of expenses, simplifying cost management for fleet operations.
Through its partnership with UTA Edenred, MAN SimplePay integrates UTA fuel cards into the platform, allowing fleet managers to track all fuel card transactions, even for vehicles from other manufacturers. The service promises to enhance cost control, reduce administrative burden, and highlight potential savings for fleet operators.
Kerstin Rummel, Senior Vice President of Commercial Service Operations at MAN Truck & Bus, emphasized the value of this new platform: “MAN’s brand promise is ‘Simplifying Business’. That’s why we developed MAN SimplePay, a central platform for our customers that pools the operating costs of the entire fleet and enables contactless transactions for the driver. This increases transparency and efficiency in fleet management while simplifying the driver’s day-to-day work.”
One standout feature of MAN SimplePay is its contactless payment system. Drivers can use the MAN Driver App or the vehicle’s infotainment system to locate filling stations, book parking spaces, and schedule truck washes through the TRAVIS Road Services partner network. These transactions can be processed contactlessly, eliminating the need for drivers to visit the checkout and providing enhanced security compared to traditional physical fuel cards.
Pierre Jalady, CEO of UTA Edenred and General Manager of Edenred Mobility EMEA, expressed his excitement about the partnership: “At UTA Edenred, our aim is to make mobility on Europe’s roads easier, more efficient and more sustainable with smart digital solutions.” I am delighted that, together with MAN Truck & Bus, we are taking an important step into the future of digital mobility experiences with the innovative MAN SimplePay service.”
Currently, MAN SimplePay’s contactless fuel card feature is supported by 3,500 filling stations across Germany, Austria, Italy, and Belgium, with more countries and stations set to join the network in the near future. The UTA Edenred acceptance network already includes 85,000 points across 40 countries.
In the event of a vehicle breakdown, MAN SimplePay simplifies the process by providing automatic cost approval for repairs and workshop services, speeding up service response times via MAN Mobile24.
