Mahindra has unveiled the production names of its upcoming electric SUVs, BE 6e and XEV 9e, which are set to make their global debut on November 26. The BE 6e will serve as the flagship model of Mahindra’s new BE sub-brand, while the XEV 9e will lead the XEV sub-brand.
A teaser video released by Mahindra offers a first look at these vehicles, showing that both models retain the bold, futuristic design elements seen in their concept versions, BE.05 and XUV.e9.
Both EVs feature sleek, angular body panels, extensive LED lighting, aero wheels, and flush door handles. The BE 6e’s interior showcases a dual-screen setup with a substantial central tunnel dividing the front seats, adding a modern touch to its coupe-like design.
While specific technical details are yet to be revealed, Mahindra has confirmed that both models will be built on the new INGLO platform. The BE 6e and XEV 9e are expected to come with single electric motor setups, with battery capacities likely ranging from 60 kWh to 80 kWh.
Positioned to compete in the growing EV market, the BE 6e will go up against models like the Tata Curvv EV and Maruti Suzuki eVX. Meanwhile, the larger XEV 9e is set to compete with the Tata Harrier EV and Hyundai Creta EV. Mahindra’s upcoming BE 6e and XEV 9e are expected to bring competitive performance and futuristic design to the electric SUV segment.
