Leapmotor UK has launched a self-funded EV grant program, offering savings of up to £3,750. Effective from 18 July, the initiative aims to make electric vehicle purchases more affordable.
The brand has reduced the price of its EVs by up to £3,750. The Leapmotor T03 five-door city car is now available from £14,495, with a £1,500 grant applied, while the larger C10 starts at £32,750.
The savings are offered through Leapmotor’s self-funded ‘Leap-Grant’, introduced ahead of government-backed scheme.
The UK government declared a new Electric Car Grant (ECG) on July 14, providing £3,750 towards the purchase of a new battery electric vehicle (BEV). The grant applies to EVs with a recommended retail price (RRP) of £37,000 or less and is structured across two tiers, based on the manufacturer’s sustainability credentials. Vehicles in Band One, the most environmentally friendly, will receive the full £3,750, while Band Two models receive £1,500.

Leapmotor has become the first carmaker in the UK to introduce a self-funded electric vehicle grant.
In addition to the grant, all models are available with 0% APR financing. Under the Personal Contract Purchase (PCP) plan, the Leapmotor C10 can be acquired with a modest £319 deposit, followed by 48 equal monthly payments of £319. The compact T03 follows a similar format, requiring just a £169 deposit and 48 monthly payments of £169, making EV ownership more attainable.
Leapmotor’s T03 is a compact electric city car, delivering up to 165 miles of range. It comes equipped with rapid DC charging, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and a host of premium features as standard. The larger C10 is presented by Leapmotor as a spacious and tech-packed electric SUV for families, offering a 263-mile WLTP range.

All Leapmotor vehicles include a four-year comprehensive warranty, while the battery is backed separately with an eight-year guarantee for long-term reliability.
Leapmotor International is a joint venture led by Stellantis, with a 51/49 ownership split between Stellantis and the China-based EV manufacturer Leapmotor.
