Kia unveiled the second-generation Telluride this week, presenting an SUV that appears more refined while retaining its rugged character.
The refreshed model features a sleeker, more contemporary front design and an upgraded interior that further emphasizes its premium appeal. Technology upgrades are also evident, bringing the Telluride in line with Kia’s latest design philosophy and advanced feature set.
The SUV will make its North American debut at the LA Auto Show 2025.
The new Telluride SUV is now 58mm longer, 25mm taller, and has a 75mm longer wheelbase than its predecessor. It showcases a squarer, more upright design with cleaner lines and subtly flared fenders.

The vertically stacked LED headlights and taillights maintain a visual link to the previous model, while the redesigned grille draws significant attention.
Inside, the Telluride draws significant inspiration from Kia’s EV9 flagship three-row electric SUV in both design and layout. Twin 12.3-inch displays are now housed in a perfectly rectangular frame, giving the dashboard a sleek, tech-focused appearance. The gear selector has been relocated from the center console to the steering column, creating more space between the front seats.
The SUV also introduces a new steering wheel design, reminiscent of the one seen on Kia’s Syros in India. With its larger dimensions, the new Telluride is expected to provide more spacious seating across all three rows.

Kia has not officially disclosed powertrain specifications, but reports indicate that the current 291hp naturally aspirated V6 will be phased out in favor of two new options. The first is expected to be a 3.5‑liter V6 delivering 287hp and 352Nm of torque. The second marks the Telluride’s debut as a plug‑in hybrid (PHEV), combining a turbocharged 2.5‑liter four‑cylinder engine with electric assistance to enhance both performance and efficiency.
