Kia India announced a notable sales milestone with 28,545 vehicles delivered in October 2024, marking a 30% increase over the 21,941 units sold in October 2023. According to the Vahan portal, more than 28,545 customers (excluding those in Telangana) received their Kia vehicles during the festive season. Among these, 54 customers celebrated Diwali with the newly launched Kia Carnival Limousine Plus.
In addition to robust domestic sales, Kia India dispatched 22,753 units to dealers and exported 2,042 units, reflecting a growing demand for its Made-in-India products in international markets. Kia aims to strengthen its presence globally, focusing on expanding its footprint in the automotive sector.
Hardeep Singh Brar, Senior VP and Head of Sales and Marketing at Kia India, commented, “Kia India is prioritising accelerated vehicle deliveries to meet growing demand while working closely with our dealer partners to manage inventory with precision. By aligning swift delivery with smart inventory control, we ensured our customers receive timely deliveries of their favourite vehicles, while our dealers benefit from streamlined, stable operations.”
Brar added that with the launch of the Carnival Limousine Plus and Kia EV9, Kia India has embarked on its ‘Kia 2.0’ initiative, aiming to redefine modern and future-oriented mobility solutions.
Kia India’s journey began in April 2017 when it signed a memorandum of understanding with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish a manufacturing facility in Anantapur District. Mass production began in August 2019, with an annual capacity of 300,000 units. In April 2021, the company updated its brand identity to ‘Movement that Inspires,’ emphasizing customer-centric, innovative experiences.
Since its establishment, Kia India has launched five models: the Seltos, Carnival, Sonet, Carens, and EV6. The Anantapur facility has dispatched over 1.3 million vehicles, including more than 1.05 million for domestic sales and over 250,000 for export. With a network of 640 touchpoints across 287 cities and over 400,000 connected cars on Indian roads, Kia continues to expand its footprint in the Indian market.
