Dr. Raghupati Singhania, Chairman & Managing Director of JK Tyre & Industries, along with ICOTY Chairman Dhruv Behl and IMOTY Chairman Kartik Ware, presented the awards to the winners. The prestigious title of the 20th Indian Car of the Year 2025 was awarded to the Mahindra Thar Roxx. This SUV’s innovative features, advanced design, and segment-leading technology left a strong impression on the jury. Meanwhile, the Aprilia RS 457 clinched the 18th Indian Motorcycle of the Year 2025 title, earning acclaim for its exceptional performance and versatility.
The awards also celebrated achievements in specific categories:
- Premium Car Award 2025: Mercedes-Benz E-Class, recognised for its unmatched luxury, cutting-edge technology, and adaptability to Indian driving conditions.
- Green Car Award 2025: MG Windsor, commended for its innovative EV solutions and contribution to redefining consumer perceptions about electric vehicles.
Rigorous Evaluation by Industry Experts
Vehicles nominated for the ICOTY and IMOTY awards underwent a meticulous evaluation process. The jury, comprising 28 members with over 400 years of collective experience from leading automotive publications, assessed contenders across multiple parameters. These included price, fuel efficiency, design, comfort, safety, performance, technological innovation, value for money, and adaptability to Indian conditions.
ICOTY Chairman Dhruv Behl reflected on the journey, stating, “The 20th edition of ICOTY is a memorable milestone.
