Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) has inaugurated a $14 million Care Center aimed at enhancing the health and well-being of its 4,000 team members. The new facility underscores Hyundai’s commitment to its Alabama workforce.
The advanced Care Center features an HMMA medical clinic, a physical therapy clinic, an Emergency Response Team, a fitness center, and a team wear store, providing comprehensive services to employees. HMMA President and CEO Chris Susock emphasized the facility’s importance, stating that it serves as a resource for wellness, fitness, physical therapy, fire prevention, and emergency response, reflecting the company’s investment in its dedicated team members.

Susock highlighted that the Care Center supports HMMA’s diverse workforce, responsible for producing Hyundai and Genesis vehicles for the North American market. The investment comes as HMMA prepares to celebrate its 20th anniversary in Alabama this May, reinforcing its commitment to employee well-being and community support.
Ellen McNair, Secretary of the Alabama Department of Commerce, praised Hyundai’s continued investment in its workforce and the Montgomery community. She noted that the Care Center demonstrates Hyundai’s forward-thinking approach to employee well-being and its role as a valued corporate partner.

McNair, who played a key role in recruiting Hyundai to Montgomery in 2002, expressed pride in Hyundai’s presence in Alabama and its ongoing growth and innovation. The Care Center will provide essential health services, injury treatment, physical therapy, and emergency medical response, along with promoting an active lifestyle through its fitness center.
HMMA, which produces Hyundai Santa Fe, Tucson, and Santa Cruz models, along with Genesis GV70 and Electrified GV70 SUVs, continues to prioritize its employees’ well-being as it marks two decades of operations in Alabama.
