Hyundai has unveiled an updated version of the Ioniq 6 electric sedan while also teasing and confirming the arrival of its high-performance N variant.
Revealed at the Seoul Mobility Show alongside the striking Insteroid concept car, the Ioniq 6 has received a completely redesigned and more aggressive front end with Hyundai’s latest design language.
Hyundai has officially showcased the standard Ioniq 6 and the Ioniq 6 N Line, while the high-performance N variant is yet to debut in July.
The updated Ioniq 6 maintains its ‘streamliner’ body structure, specifically designed to minimize aerodynamic drag and maximize driving range. Hyundai has upgraded the car’s interior with its newest infotainment system.

The rear of the Ioniq 6 includes an integrated ducktail spoiler, refreshed bumpers, and black accents. It boasts a modern steering wheel design, an enhanced center console, an expanded climate control display, and refined door trim pieces for a more premium feel.
The company has recently introduced discounts of up to $20,000 on the current Ioniq 6 to clear inventory from 2023, following a 40% drop in sales last year.
Hyundai Motor Company Australia (HMCA) will introduce the Ioniq 6 N to Australia as a key ‘halo model.’ Fully revealed by mid-2025, the Ioniq 6 N will arrive in Australia by early 2026, sharing the Ioniq 5 N’s core mechanics.

The updated Ioniq 6 features revamped styling influenced by the RN22e ‘rolling lab’ from 2022, which served as a preview for the Ioniq 6 N. The new Ioniq 6 comes with a 77.4kWh lithium-ion battery, providing a choice between a 168kW/350Nm rear-wheel drive or a 239kW/605Nm dual-motor all-wheel drive configuration.
Priced from $67,300 before on-road costs (or $73,300 BOCS for the long-range variant), the Ioniq 6’s higher cost in Australia positions it closer to premium rivals.
