Hyundai Motor’s high-performance electric sedan, the Ioniq 6 N, has captured the attention of automotive media worldwide following its debut at the 2025 Goodwood Festival of Speed in the UK last month. Publications across North America, Europe, China, Latin America, and Australia have lauded the model for its advanced technology, striking design, and dynamic performance.
In the United States, Motor Trend described the launch as ‘N-Hanced, Bewinged 2026 Hyundai Ioniq 6 N Super Sedan Breaks Cover!’ and highlighted the rapid progress of Hyundai’s N division in just a decade. Car and Driver echoed this sentiment, noting that after months of anticipation, the reveal doesn’t disappoint, while drawing attention to the model’s rakish styling and output of up to 641 horsepower.

European media also responded enthusiastically, particularly in the UK and Germany, where demand for electric vehicles is growing. The UK’s Auto Express compared the Ioniq 6 N to premium internal combustion sports sedans like the BMW M3, praising its streamlined design and track-focused performance. Germany’s Auto Zeitung emphasized its appeal as a sports car in sedan form, while Auto Bild singled out its chassis, virtual driving sound, and virtual gear shift functions as standout features.
In China, the world’s largest EV market, leading automotive portal Autohome showcased the Ioniq 6 N in a dedicated video review. Featuring a professional racer’s commentary, the review described the car as excelling in both performance and driving enjoyment.

The model also generated significant coverage in Mexico and Brazil. Mexico’s AutoCosmos hailed it as a major step for Hyundai in the high-performance EV sector, offering an enjoyable time in the driver’s seat without using gasoline. Brazil’s Quatro Rodas focused on its overwhelming performance, noting its ability to generate up to 650 horsepower and accelerate like a supercar.
The Ioniq 6 N is the second electric model in Hyundai’s N line-up, following the Ioniq 5 N. Combining advanced electrification technology with high-performance features derived from Hyundai’s motorsports expertise, it delivers up to 650 horsepower with N Green Boost and sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds using N Launch Control.
