Honda Prospect Motor and Hot Wheels have jointly launched an exclusive Civic EG at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS 2024). This collaboration melds the iconic design and exceptional performance of the Honda Civic EG with Hot Wheels’ collectible appeal.
Renowned for its performance and revered in the Japanese domestic market, the Honda Civic EG has also earned major international acclaim, especially in the United States. This model epitomizes reliability and racing excellence, making it an ideal choice for a special edition release.
The Hot Wheels Honda Civic EG 2024 Convention Car, a limited-edition diecast, features exclusive design elements, including the legendary racing livery. Produced in restricted quantities, this collector’s item aims to captivate enthusiasts both locally and globally.
To complement the diecast, Honda and Hot Wheels have crafted a full-scale 1:1 version of the Civic EG Special Edition. This life-sized model, reflecting the diecast’s intricate details, allows consumers to experience the iconic car firsthand. The GIIAS 2024 display not only showcases the Civic EG but also includes several Honda models immortalized as diecast, celebrating Honda’s automotive legacy.
“Honda is very proud to be part of the special collection of legendary Hot Wheels cars, especially with the Honda Civic which has been very close to consumers in various countries, including in Indonesia,” said Yulian Karfili, Communication Strategy Sub-Division Head at PT Honda Prospect Motor.
Radithya Pradana, Brand Manager Vehicles Category MATTEL SEA, highlighted the significance of this collaboration. “We believe that this collaboration with Honda in the form of a 1:64 scale Hot Wheels Honda Civic EG 2024 Convention Car diecast can bring fun and awaken the dreams of everyone,” he added.
