The Dubai Police’s fleet gains a formidable new member: the Lamborghini Urus Performante. This addition, facilitated by the Lamborghini Dubai dealership, aligns with Automobili Lamborghini’s 60th-anniversary celebration and continues the department’s collaboration with the prestigious brand.
At the Dubai Airshow 2023, Paolo Sartori, Regional Head for Automobili Lamborghini Middle East and Africa, presented the keys of this Super SUV to Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani, the acting commander-in-chief of Dubai Police. Sartori remarked, “This partnership with Dubai Police showcases our commitment to enhancing public safety. The Urus Performante, following last year’s Urus, will undertake various public duties and bolster city security.”
Equipped with a robust twin-turbo V8 engine, the Urus Performante produces 666 CV of power and 850 Nm of torque, achieving 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, with a top speed of 306 km/h. Customized for police work, the vehicle features a distinctive green and white livery adorned with police logos, a comprehensive 360° blue LED light bar, an electric siren, an armored gun box, a deployable message display, a specialized equipment compartment, and a defibrillator.
Expressing appreciation for this collaboration, Major General Ahmed Mohammed bin Thani underscored the vehicle’s role in enhancing the police force’s capabilities. “The high-performance Super SUV was added as part of Dubai Police’s efforts to increase the number of patrol officers across Dubai,” he said.
“The new Lamborghini Urus Performante will support Dubai police in their commitment to better serve residents, maintain social safety and security, and provide services in popular tourist destinations,” Thani added.
This strategic addition to the Dubai Police fleet symbolizes the city’s fusion of luxury and state-of-the-art technology, underscoring its commitment to exceptional public service and safety.
