Dodge is set to introduce its iconic Charger to Europe and the Middle East, catering to muscle car enthusiasts in these regions. Deliveries are expected to commence by late 2025, and the lineup will feature both electric and internal combustion engine (ICE) versions. While the model will be imported into Europe through distributors, Dodge will officially sell it in the Middle East.
The full Charger portfolio will be available, including two-door and four-door variants. Currently, only the electric version, known as the Charger Daytona, is on the market, but ICE variants with the new Hurricane engines are set to debut in the U.S. next year and join the global lineup soon after. However, fans of the legendary Hemi engine may be disappointed, as there is no indication of its return.
The electric Charger Daytona comes equipped with dual electric motors, delivering 456 bhp and 547 Nm of torque in its base model. The Scat Pack version boosts performance to 630 bhp and 849 Nm of torque. Despite its impressive figures, the EV Charger has faced criticism from traditional muscle car fans who argue that its appeal is less distinct in a market filled with high-performance electric vehicles.
The ICE version of the Charger is generating more excitement, particularly in the Middle East. It will feature Dodge’s new 3.0L turbocharged inline-six Hurricane engine, producing 420 bhp and 637 Nm of torque in its standard configuration and up to 550 bhp and 746 Nm in the performance variant. Both rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options are expected, with an 8-speed automatic transmission handling power delivery.
The ICE Charger is slated for a U.S. launch late next year, with its European and Middle Eastern debuts following closely. The return of this American muscle car, blending tradition and modern engineering, is anticipated to make a significant impact on both markets.
