Nio’s ET9, a sleek coupe sedan, emerged recently at a grand event in Xi’an Olympic Sports Centre Stadium, highlighting China’s escalated ambitions in the EV sector. With deliveries slated for early 2025, the ET9’s bold price tag of $112,000 surpasses Tesla’s Model S, reflecting Nio’s confidence in their new luxury model.
ET9’s Design: Elegance Meets Minimalism
The ET9 stands out with its sharply declining roofline, merging the elegance of coupes and the practicality of sedans. Its design, characterized by simplicity and minimalism, avoids over-the-top embellishments, focusing instead on a clean and understated look. This luxury EV impresses with its dimensions, ranking as Nio’s largest offering. Measuring 5,325mm in length, 2,016mm in width, and 1,620mm in height, the ET9 offers a spacious interior, augmented by a 3,250mm wheelbase and 200mm ground clearance.

The vehicle also introduces China’s first Full-Domain 900V Architecture, with a peak voltage of 925V and remarkable charging capabilities. Its ultra-fast charging system and battery-swap technology offer substantial range enhancements, adding 255 km with a mere 5-minute charge.
