The announcement, made at the BYD Asia Pacific Dealer Conference event in Xi’an, China, saw the congregation of industry leaders from both BYD and Mega, including Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia Pacific Auto Sales Division; Zhang Jie, Vice General Manager; and Aly Khan, Executive Director of Mega.
Liu Xueliang articulated the partnership’s critical role in advancing BYD’s mission to mitigate global warming by a single degree, underlining the corporation’s 2023 achievement of eclipsing 3 million units in annual NEV sales and retaining its apex position globally. The initiative will commence with the launch of BYD flagship showrooms in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad in 2024, designed to immerse customers in BYD’s premium new energy vehicle technology and provide a distinctive retail experience, including the facilitation of direct orders. Khan emphasized the synergistic potential of combining Mega’s and BYD’s resources to spur the adoption of EVs, heralding a sustainable mobility era.

Its autonomous R&D prowess has yielded mastery over the entire spectrum of core NEV technologies, including batteries, motors, electronic controls, and chips.
