BMW, the German automaker, is gearing up for an ambitious rollout of 40 new models over the next three years, including Neue Klasse EVs.
Revealed by CEO Oliver Zipse at the brand’s annual results conference, the upcoming launches will feature a combination of entirely new models and updated versions of existing vehicles. The launches will also unveil the Neue Klasse electric vehicles, a concept that BMW has been hinting at for over a year.
According to Autocar, the first vehicle set to debut is the new iX3, the production model of the Neue Klasse Vision X, and it will be followed by the electric 3 Series as confirmed by CEO Oliver Zipse.

Across its BMW, Mini, and Rolls-Royce brands, the company sold 426,594 electric vehicles, reflecting a 13.5% growth compared to 2023. As Autocar reports, the sales figure accounts for approximately one-fifth of BMW Group’s total sales for the previous year.
Last year, one out of every three Rolls-Royce vehicles sold was a Spectre. Apart from this, BMW encountered substantial difficulties, with its revenue falling by 8.4% to €142 billion (£119 billion) and its pre-tax earnings plummeting by 35.8%.
A large share of the decline was attributed to reduced sales in China, driven by persistently weak consumer behavior and major brake-related recalls. Despite this, BMW sold over 100,000 electric vehicles in the Chinese market, while the U.S. achieved a record high with 50,000 EV sales.

In 2024, the company sold a total of 2.45 million vehicles across its three brands, reflecting a 4% decrease compared to 2023. Of these, 2.2 million were BMW models, marking a 2.3% drop, 245,000 were Minis, with sales down by 17.1%, and 5,712 were Rolls-Royces, representing a decline of 5.3%.
Chief Financial Officer Walter Mertl noted that only modest growth in deliveries is anticipated for 2025 as the company deals with rising tariffs on a global scale.
