Automotive technology continues to evolve, with the latest innovation coming from Autech-Otis Parking Systems. The company has unveiled a next-generation mechanical parking solution designed for high-density urban centers worldwide.
The new XY system enables vehicles to move both horizontally and vertically, optimizing parking capacity in tight city environments.
Founded in 2016 as a joint venture with elevator manufacturer Otis, Autech-Otis has established a strong presence in Korea’s mechanical parking sector. Its new system represents a major step toward global expansion, with key markets identified in the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and Europe.

“Demand for next-generation parking systems as a key component of smart city infrastructure is rapidly increasing in the global market,” the company said in a news release. It added that Autech-Otis “aims to become a global leader shaping the new future of parking culture.”
The XY design incorporates a compact structure and advanced control system adaptable to both underground and above-ground environments, making it ideal for mixed-use buildings, airports, and smart city developments.
The system also integrates electric vehicle charging capabilities and noise-reduction technology to meet modern urban standards.
“With our parking-specialized expertise, we will continue to provide optimal, customized solutions for clients facing challenges in securing sufficient parking space,” an Autech-Otis representative stated.

The company’s international push underscores a growing trend in automated parking technologies, as cities worldwide look to maximise land efficiency and reduce congestion through smart infrastructure.
As car dealerships modernize their facilities to accommodate electric and digital retail demands, innovations in vertical and automated parking are emerging as vital tools to enhance efficiency and customer experience without requiring additional space.
