Audi has unveiled its Concept C, a futuristic sports car that combines elements from the brand’s most iconic performance models into a unified design. Introduced in Milan, ahead of its official debut at the IAA Munich next week, the Concept C offers a glimpse into Audi’s future design direction.
Drawing inspiration from the brand’s legacy of sports and concept cars. It inherits the TT’s signature arched A-pillar and clean, circular wheel arches. The side silhouette echoes the mid-engined R8’s proportions, while a distinctive B-pillar design pays homage to the Sideblade styling of that supercar. At the rear, the vented, solid deck is heavily influenced by the 2000 Audi Rosemeyer concept—just like the vertically aligned front grille, which also borrowed from that design.
In fact, the concept is reportedly even longer than the previous-generation R8 and features 21-inch wheels, which help emphasize its larger scale.

The Concept C, named to reflect both Audi’s renewed emphasis on ‘clarity’ and its inspiration from the 1936 Auto Union Type C Grand Prix car, serves as a bold vision from new design chief Massimo Frascella. His goal is to reestablish Audi’s identity with a striking new design language. As a styling showcase, the Concept C debuts several fresh design elements that will eventually be integrated across the Audi lineup, and it’s expected to enter production in nearly identical form within the next two years.
The two-seater Concept C introduces an electrically retractable roof with two panels—a first for Audi. Inside, the cabin embraces a minimalist aesthetic, offering a glimpse into Audi’s future interior design language. The use of light grey fabric gives the space an airy, open feel, with a layout pared down to the essentials—just a few climate control buttons and a pair of rotary dials. Audi has also placed a strong focus on interior quality. The metallic accents are crafted from anodized aluminum, and the buttons have been engineered to deliver a precise, tactile click—an improvement over the haptic touch panels found in many current Audi vehicles.

Audi has yet to disclose specifics regarding the Concept C’s range, weight, or pricing. However, industry reports indicate it might be built on the same platform as Porsche’s postponed electric 718 Cayman and Boxster, slated for release in 2027. The inclusion of production-ready elements, such as standard tires, mirrors, wipers, and a number plate mount, signals a clear intent to bring the car to market. Positioned to reignite Audi’s reputation as a leader in design and performance, the Concept C could even carry forward the legendary TT nameplate.
