Twice the Power, Zero Emissions
Alpine’s latest model, following the brand’s initial hydrogen-powered release in 2022, reflects the company’s dedication to alternative fuels. This 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 engine boasts an impressive 740bhp, a high-revving 9,000rpm, and 770 Nm of torque, with two hydrogen engines strategically positioned in the side pods and behind the cockpit. This hydrogen-powered upgrade highlights Alpine’s commitment to pushing boundaries for a cleaner future.
Hydrogen Commitment
While Alpine is prioritising electric vehicles, with plans to launch seven electric models by 2030, the company remains dedicated to hydrogen advancements in motorsport. Bruno Famin, VP of Alpine Motorsports, states, “With the development of this brand-new Hy6 V6 engine, we are demonstrating our commitment to hydrogen research, which could herald motorsport applications with high performance levels.”
