Honda Cars India’s newest marvel, the mid-size SUV Honda Elevate, has notched a formidable achievement. Within a mere 100 days of its launch in September 2023, the vehicle has sold 20,000 units, a testament to its burgeoning popularity in the SUV market.
This milestone is significant, representing more than half of HCIL’s total sales over the last quarter. The arrival of the Elevate catalyzed an 11% increase in HCIL’s sales figures between September and November, compared to the previous year.
Yuichi Murata, HCIL’s Director of Marketing and Sales, shared enthusiasm about Elevate’s rapid success. “We are thrilled to witness the remarkable success of the Honda Elevate, which has surpassed our expectations. The 20,000 sales milestone of Elevate in the first 100 days of launch is a proud moment for us and reflects the trust and preference of our valued customers, making us a notable contender in the industry,” Murata commented. Addressing the high demand, especially for CVT variants, HCIL has boosted production and realigned its variant offerings.
The ‘Urban Freestyler’ themed Honda Elevate combines a robust, striking design with top-tier functionality. Equipped with a 1.5L i-VTEC petrol engine, the vehicle comes in both 6-speed manual and 7-speed CVT automatic transmissions. Notable for its spacious interior, the Elevate offers an extensive wheelbase, generous room for head, knees, and legs, and a cargo area that leads its class.
Safety is paramount in the Elevate, fitted with Honda Sensing ADAS technology to ensure a safe and comfortable driving experience. Its dimensions include a length of 4312mm, a width of 1790mm, a height of 1650mm, a 2650mm wheelbase, and a ground clearance of 220 mm, blending aesthetics with practicality seamlessly.
The Elevate is accessible in a variety of choices, with three out of its four grades featuring a CVT automatic option and ADAS safety at competitive prices. The SUV is priced from INR 10,99,900 to INR 15,99,900 for the top variant, as part of an introductory offer until the end of the month.
Since its global premiere in India this June, the Elevate has garnered widespread admiration and approval. India’s role as the primary manufacturing and sales hub for the Elevate is strategic, aiming to establish the country as a key export center for the model, thereby addressing the strong global SUV demand. This move places India prominently on the international automotive stage.
