Dott, a prominent operator in the micromobility sector, is extending its services to the resort of Val d’Isère in the French Alps for the first time, while reinstating its offering in Tignes for the third consecutive year.
Before the winter season brings back the snow, Dott plans to facilitate dependable, efficient, and eco-friendly transportation in these two renowned mountain destinations.
Last year, the company recorded over 30,000 trips on its vehicles in less than four months, marking a 17% rise from the previous year. This expansion aligns with Tignes’ dedication to evolve into a more sustainable and responsible resort, offering residents and vacationers alike effortless and eco-conscious travel options.
Val d’Isère, having prioritized low-carbon transportation for years, has partnered with Dott to provide green mobility across the resort throughout the summer.
Dott also plans to introduce shared e-bikes to Tignes, a frequent venue for the Tour de France, supplementing the shared e-scooters previously offered. Both types of vehicles can be accessed via the Dott application.
Christophe Lavaut, Managing Director of Val d’Isère Tourisme, voiced his enthusiasm for the expansion. “Green mobility in the resort is part of our plans to improve the experience for our visitors, helping them rediscover the mountains this summer from a new perspective as they travel in the open air,” Lavaut stated.
Frédéric Porte, Managing Director of Tignes Développement, reiterated this sentiment, acknowledging that the partnership with Dott emphasizes their commitment to sustainable transport and customer service, catering to the growing demand from residents and holidaymakers keen on protecting the environment and remaining close to nature.
Manon Pagniez, General Manager France at Dott, expressed that their presence in Tignes for the third year and new venture into Val d’Isère aims to offer a more eco-friendly way to navigate the mountains, reducing emissions, and promoting cleaner air in the resorts.
She added, “For the third year in Tignes, and the first in Val d’Isère, we are offering a more sustainable way of getting around the mountains, helping to reduce emissions and creating cleaner air in these resorts. We encourage visitors and locals to leave their cars while on holiday, creating a more pleasant environment in the mountains.”
Dott places a significant emphasis on environmental and social impact in its business decisions.
