The World Vehicle Congress, a major event in the automotive industry, is confirmed to be held from June 14 to 16 in Macao, China’s Special Administrative Region. Co-hosted by China’s Ministry of Commerce and various auto industry associations, the congress will revolve around the theme of “Global Green Development of the Automotive Industry.” The event will consist of two main activities: the “World Automotive Forum” and the “World Car Exhibition.”
Li Rengui, Director of the China Auto Modification Accessories Association, explained that the congress aims to invite car dealerships, buyers, and industry-related organizations from ASEAN countries, as well as countries involved in the Belt and Road initiatives. This move will help expand China’s exports and promote the globalization of the country’s automotive industry.
The three main themes of the conference include: (1) China’s strategy and model for the global automotive market, (2) new energy vehicles, along with new technologies and materials, and (3) showcasing and exchanging global automotive culture, racing culture, automotive modification culture, and e-sports.
Taking place in the internationally renowned racing hub of Macao, home to the annual Macao Grand Prix, organizers hope that the city’s vibrant racing culture will transform the World Vehicle Congress into a significant annual event in the automotive industry calendar. With a focus on environmental sustainability and innovative technologies, this year’s congress promises to spark engaging discussions and showcase the latest advancements in the automotive world.
