Ford has partnered with Amazon to make certified pre-owned (CPO) Ford vehicles available for purchase through Amazon Autos, marking a significant step forward in digital car retail.
Ford on Monday confirmed the official launch of its Ford Blue Advantage CPO program on the platform, enabling customers to shop, finance, and arrange pickup of a used Ford entirely online.
The agreement comes two years after Amazon declared it would permit auto dealers to sell vehicles on its platform, beginning with models from South Korean automaker Hyundai. Under the new program, customers can arrange financing, begin the necessary paperwork, and schedule a pickup time at participating dealerships.
Ford stated that CPO vehicles are now available through Amazon Autos in Los Angeles, Seattle, and Dallas, with plans to expand to more cities soon.

The company said Monday that over 160 of its roughly 2,900 U.S. dealers have opted to join the program and have begun working with Amazon.
Ford revealed that it will provide a 14‑day or 1,000‑mile money‑back guarantee for vehicles sold through Amazon. In addition, the automaker is introducing three tiers of certified pre‑owned (CPO) vehicles, each with distinct warranty coverage:
- Gold Certified: Vehicles up to six years old with under 80,000 miles, subject to a 172‑point inspection and backed by a 12‑month/12,000‑mile warranty.
- EV Certified: Electric Ford models up to six years old with fewer than 80,000 miles, undergoing a 127-point specialized inspection and the same 12-month/12,000-mile warranty as Gold Certified vehicles.
- Blue Certified: Vehicles up to 10 years old with under 150,000 miles, including Ford and other brands, inspected through a 139-point process and covered by a 90-day/4,000-mile warranty.

Through Amazon Autos, customers can browse certified pre‑owned inventory within a 75‑mile radius, refine results by make, model, year, and color, and view transparent pricing, complete service histories, and inspection reports. Financing options, including Ford Credit, are also available.
Once most of the paperwork is completed, buyers can schedule a pickup at the dealership, where the purchase is finalized.
Earlier this year, Amazon partnered with car rental firm Hertz to offer used vehicles on its platform.
