Maserati has updated the Grecale Folgore to match the technological standards of its competitors. The front motor now features a decoupling function to boost driving range, and a battery preconditioning feature for improved efficiency.
After roughly two years in production, Maserati has updated the electric Grecale. The Grecale Folgore retains its large 105kWh battery and, with its dual-motor setup, continues to deliver an impressive 550bhp and 820Nm of torque. While the SUV previously powered all four wheels continuously, Maserati has now added a disconnect system that channels power solely to the rear wheels, engaging all-wheel drive only when necessary. This change increases the driving range from 311 to 360 miles. Maserati says the transition happens automatically in just 500 milliseconds.
Maserati has also introduced automatic battery preconditioning for the Folgore, ensuring the battery reaches the optimal temperature for efficient charging.

The system activates when a charging station is selected through Maserati’s ‘EV Routing’ feature on the sat-nav. The maximum charging rate remains 150kW, allowing the battery to go from 20% to 80% in 29 minutes.
For the 2026 model year, Maserati has added three new interior themes through its Fuoriserie customization program. These options include Premium Pelle Ghiaccio, Sport Leather in Nero and Rosso (black and red), and Nero and Giallo (black and yellow). Additionally, buyers can now choose from eight different sport seat designs.
The lineup now offers a total of 11 standard exterior colors, along with six alloy wheel choices.
The price for the refreshed Grecale Folgore has not been disclosed, but it is expected to be close to the current model’s starting price of £99,175.
