Dubai’s National Industries Park (NIP) is set to host one of the region’s largest automotive refurbishment centers under an AED 55 million ($15 million) partnership between DP World and Cars24.
The 220,000 sq. ft. solar-powered facility will generate over 200 jobs and handle more than 100,000 vehicles annually. Construction is scheduled to begin in November 2025, with operations expected to start by August 2026.
The new center will serve growing demand from electric vehicle manufacturers and Chinese original equipment makers, providing multi-brand refurbishment, pre-delivery inspection, after-sales servicing, and export preparation.
Each vehicle will undergo over 140 inspection points, Dubai RTA certification, and meet the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology’s (MoIAT) 5-Star quality standards.

By extending the lifecycle of vehicles, particularly EVs, the facility aims to cut emissions linked to new car production.
Abdulla Al Hashmi, Chief Operating Officer of Parks & Zones at DP World GCC, said the project would reinforce Dubai’s position as a leading automotive hub.
He noted that the Middle East and Africa’s used car market surpassed $100 billion in 2024 and is projected to grow nearly 5% annually until 2030.
“By connecting global manufacturers and regional distributors, DP World is creating a platform that strengthens supply chains and drives new opportunities for the industry,” he said.
Cars24, valued at over $3 billion, operates one of the world’s largest online marketplaces for used cars.

Abhinav Gupta, CEO of Cars24 Arabia, said the upcoming Dubai center will “set a benchmark for speed, reliability, and sustainability” while providing the company with a strong regional base and direct access to GCC and international markets.
The project adds to DP World’s growing automotive ecosystem across NIP and Jebel Ali Free Zone (Jafza), which already hosts leading global manufacturers and EV innovators.
It also supports Dubai’s broader automotive hub vision, following the announcement in 2024 of plans to build the world’s largest car market in partnership with Dubai Municipality, further positioning the emirate as the gateway for automotive trade in the Middle East and Africa.
