Nissan Motor India has reached a major export milestone, with the company surpassing 1.2 million vehicle shipments from its Indian operations. The achievement reinforces India’s growing importance as a strategic export hub for Nissan across Africa, the Middle East, Europe, and Oceania.
The 1.2 millionth export unit, a New Nissan Magnite B-SUV bound for the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region, was ceremonially flagged off by Saurabh Vatsa, Managing Director of Nissan Motor India, at Kamarajar Port, Ennore, Tamil Nadu.
The company highlighted that this milestone aligns with its ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision, reaffirming India’s central role in Nissan’s global supply network.

Since beginning exports from India, Nissan has shipped several models, including the Magnite, Sunny, Kicks, and Micra, to global markets. “We are proud to celebrate yet another historic milestone of exporting 1.2 million Nissan vehicles from India,” said Vatsa.
This achievement reflects the collective dedication of our teams and the trust of customers across the world in our made-in-India cars. The Nissan Magnite continues to be a global success story, representing our focus on design, quality, and innovation that transcends borders,” he added.
Nissan plans to enhance its export capabilities with the launch of the Nissan Tekton, a new global C-segment SUV slated for release in 2026.

Positioned to rival models such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Volkswagen Taigun, Skoda Kushaq, and Toyota Hyryder, the Tekton will be the second model developed under Nissan’s ‘One Car, One World’ strategy.
The SUV, co-manufactured with Renault at the Chennai plant, will cater to both domestic and select international markets. Nissan noted that the Tekton’s design takes cues from its iconic Patrol SUV, with a full unveiling and sales launch scheduled for 2026.
