Greenhous Group has added Chinese automaker Geely to its expanding UK portfolio, further strengthening its position as a key partner for new Chinese brands. The first Geely dealership will open at Greenhous’s Featherbed Lane location in Shrewsbury, Shropshire.
Founded in 1986 and headquartered in Hangzhou, Geely is one of China’s largest privately owned automotive groups and a major global player, with ownership of Volvo Cars, Polestar, Lotus, and the London Electric Vehicle Company (LEVC).
Greenhous already represents several Chinese brands in the UK, including BYD, Chery, Leapmotor, Omoda, and Jaecoo. Adding Geely allows the group to offer a wide range of vehicles, from compact cars and SUVs to fully electric models.

Ashley Passant, managing director of Greenhous’s Car & Fleet Division, said: “Welcoming Geely to our brand line-up is an exciting step forward. Geely combines affordability with world-class design and innovation, and its focus on electrification complements our strategy to provide a future-ready portfolio for our customers.”
Geely is accelerating its UK expansion, having appointed a former BYD development director earlier this year. Globally, the company sold over 3.2 million vehicles in 2024 and continues to invest heavily in platform technology and EV development.

The initial UK launch will feature the all-electric Geely EX5, a C-segment SUV tailored for right-hand drive markets. Retail sales are expected to begin in Q4 2025, with fleet sales starting in late summer.
Geely has conducted extensive customer clinics and development work to ensure the EX5 meets UK drivers’ expectations. The brand plans to expand its UK product range further in 2026.
