The Haryana government is exploring a strategic partnership with Japan’s Fukuoka Prefecture to enhance cooperation in automotive manufacturing, robotics, and advanced technologies.
Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, who is currently on an official visit to Japan, met with the Deputy Governor of Fukuoka to discuss expanding industrial collaboration.
Singh highlighted Haryana’s focus on transportation, research-driven manufacturing, and innovation, inviting Japanese firms to invest in electric vehicles, semiconductors, electronics, biotechnology, and technical textiles.
Haryana currently hosts nearly 400 Japanese companies, the highest concentration of Japanese investment in India.

Singh underscored the state’s strong industrial infrastructure, skilled workforce, and investor-friendly policies that have positioned it as one of India’s most business-friendly destinations.
The minister also addressed an investors’ roadshow attended by major representatives from the electronics, biotech, semiconductor, automotive, and textile industries.
Investors from Fukuoka expressed keen interest in Haryana’s expanding industrial ecosystem and emerging technological capabilities.
Fukuoka, known for its automobile manufacturing base and robotics expertise, is seen as a natural partner in Haryana’s push for high-tech industrial development.

The discussions aimed to deepen cooperation between the two regions, particularly in sectors driving future mobility and innovation.
Earlier, a high-level delegation from Haryana led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh visited Japan, where meetings in Tokyo and Osaka promoted new investment opportunities.
During his visit, Minister Singh invited the Deputy Governor of Fukuoka and Japanese corporate representatives to participate in the ‘Happening Haryana Global Investors’ Summit 2026’.
The event will serve as a platform to advance bilateral partnerships, technology transfer, and industrial collaboration between the two regions.
