Infineon Technologies AG has introduced a new software portfolio tailored for the AURIX TC4x microcontroller family, aimed at enhancing safety, security, and efficiency in automotive applications.
The portfolio features production-ready ASIL D drivers for AUTOSAR MCAL and safety software, helping reduce software partitioning efforts, streamline system-level safety argumentation, and simplify the creation of virtual control units. This approach is designed to accelerate time-to-market for automotive manufacturers.
Among the key components are the production-grade MC-ISAR AUTOSAR MCAL, SafeTlib safety software, complex device drivers, a Converter Digital Signal Processor (CDSP) library for signal post-processing, and advanced data routing software that minimizes latency and lowers CPU load to enable high-speed data transfers.

Infineon confirmed that the AURIX TC4x software meets the highest industry standards, passing combined assessments for ASPICE 4.0, ISO 26262:2018 with ASIL D, and ISO 21434, and achieving ASPICE Level 3 for the first time. The portfolio is further complemented by partner software solutions, including AUTOSAR stacks, non-AUTOSAR operating systems, communication modules, security systems, hypervisors, middleware, and tools.
Patrick Will, Senior Director and Head of Software Product Marketing and Management at Infineon, said early customer feedback has been highly encouraging. “Our portfolio accelerates the development of electronic control units, strengthens safety argumentation, and allows seamless migration from ARM-based architectures to AURIX-MCUs,” he said.

“Additionally, AURIX Drive Core for TC4x already combines software stacks from our extensive partner ecosystem with our own software, enabling customers to integrate AI into ADAS and powertrain applications, leverage hardware virtualization, implement safety services, and deploy advanced communication stacks,” he added.
The MC-ISAR provides ASIL D-compliant drivers supporting multicore processing, virtualization, and safety software partitioning, while SafeTlib simplifies integration into safety applications with plug-and-play functionality, test handlers, and watchdog management. The CDSP filter chain library enables efficient ADC post-processing, offloading DSP algorithms from the TriCore processor.
