NEXEN TIRE, a prominent global tire manufacturer, is set to expand its original equipment (OE) supply for KIA’s major strategic models, reinforcing its longstanding partnership with the automaker and strengthening its global presence in the electric and SUV segments.
As part of this move, NEXEN TIRE is now supplying its high-performance comfort tire, the N’FERA Supreme S, for KIA’s EV6 models manufactured in Georgia, USA, extending its existing OE supply that has supported EV6 units sold in South Korea and other global markets since 2021. This enhancement marks the brand’s growing influence in North America’s electric vehicle market.

Engineered for electric mobility, the N’FERA Supreme S offers a well-balanced combination of quiet driving, stability, and low rolling resistance. Already installed in KIA’s EV3 and EV4 models, the tire further showcases NEXEN TIRE’s capabilities in premium EV-specific technologies designed to support smoother, quieter, and more efficient rides.
Simultaneously, NEXEN TIRE has broadened the OE supply scope of its ROADIAN HTX2 tire, originally used for KIA’s Tasman models exported to Latin America. The supply has now been extended to Korea, the Middle East, Europe, and other regions. Built for SUVs and light trucks, the ROADIAN HTX2 provides dependable on- and off-road performance, ensuring durability, quietness, and driving stability across diverse road conditions.
These developments underscore NEXEN TIRE’s expanding OE portfolio and reflect its reputation for reliable, technologically advanced tire solutions. Since entering the OE segment for premium automotive brands in 2016, the company has progressively expanded into the next-generation mobility space, including electric vehicles (EVs) and fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs).

Today, NEXEN TIRE supplies OE tires across KIA’s full EV lineup, from EV3 to EV9, demonstrating its deepening involvement in the global shift towards sustainable mobility.
Commenting on the expansion, John Bosco (Hyeon Suk) Kim, CEO of NEXEN TIRE, stated, “This expanded OE supply reflects the deepening of our strategic partnership with KIA and reinforces our position in key global markets, including North America. By providing advanced tire solutions for a wide range of vehicles – from electric cars to pickup trucks, we are demonstrating the breadth of our technological capabilities.”
He added that the company will continue to enhance collaboration with global automakers as part of its innovation-driven approach to next-generation mobility.
