Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited (SAVWIPL) declared on Monday that Bentley, the iconic British luxury car brand, has officially joined its group. Since July 1, SAVWIPL has been exclusively managing the import, distribution, and servicing of Bentley vehicles across India, reinforcing the group’s foothold in the country’s expanding premium automobile sector.
Bentley’s inclusion marks its entry as the sixth brand in the Volkswagen Group’s India portfolio, alongside Skoda, Volkswagen, Audi, Porsche, and Lamborghini.
A new entity called Bentley India has been established under the SAVWIPL group to exclusively manage the operations of the brand. Prior to this transition, the brand’s operations in India were overseen by Exclusive Motors, a private importer based in Delhi.
Bentley India will collaborate with three dealer partners across major cities, starting with Bengaluru and Mumbai and expanding to New Delhi shortly after.
The automaker currently offers three models in India: the Bentayga SUV, the Continental GT coupe, and the Flying Spur sedan, with showrooms located in Delhi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. According to a company statement, integrating the brand into Skoda Auto Volkswagen India will sharpen its strategic focus on the Indian market and ensure world-class customer service standards. In 2023, Bentley’s estimated sales in India ranged between 70 and 80 units, with the Bentayga SUV accounting for the majority of deliveries.
The company has recently unveiled a redesigned version of its iconic winged emblem—the fifth update in the brand’s 106-year history. The refreshed logo will make its debut on an all-new concept car, which is scheduled to be revealed in the coming days.
Bentley has been part of India’s luxury car landscape for more than two decades, with its premium offerings. Now aligned with Audi, Porsche, Lamborghini, Skoda, and Volkswagen, the brand bolsters SAVWIPL’s unified portfolio, which spans from premium to ultra-luxury offerings in the Indian market.
