Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has significantly expanded its software-defined vehicle (SDV) operations in Europe by establishing three new centers, two Automotive Delivery Centers in Munich and Villingen-Schwenningen, Germany, and an Engineering Center in Romania.
These new hubs are designed to support global automotive manufacturers in developing and deploying software-led services for autonomous driving, infotainment, vehicle safety systems, and connected technologies. The Romanian facility will focus on early-stage development and the design of automotive software platforms.
TCS noted that the strategic placement of these centers in key European automotive regions enables closer collaboration with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and enhances nearshore delivery capabilities. Over 100 professionals are currently operating from these centers, integrated into a broader global team of more than 2,000 SDV engineers.

Regu Ayyaswamy, Senior Vice President and Global Head of IoT and Digital Engineering at TCS, stated that the new centres place TCS at the forefront of automotive innovation, particularly in autonomous driving and advanced cockpit technologies. Anupam Singhal, President and Business Group Head, Manufacturing, TCS, described the expansion as a major step in supporting OEMs in building intelligent, connected, and sustainable vehicles, calling it a milestone in TCS’s journey toward “Future-Ready Mobility.”
With over 25 years of engagement in Europe’s automotive sector, TCS continues to strengthen its presence in the region, advancing technologies in digital cockpits, electrification, autonomous systems, and connected ecosystems through its capabilities in digital engineering, IoT, cloud, data analytics, and generative AI.
