Nissan has unveiled its latest plans for vehicles in the European market. Nissan will introduce three full-electric models by next year in Europe. The lineup includes the revival of the Micra as a fully electric car, the launch of the third-generation Leaf, and an electric version of the Juke SUV in 2026.
The new Micra is set to launch in 2025 as a compact electric vehicle. Designed by Nissan Design Europe in London, it will be built on the AmpR Small platform, shared with the Renault R5. The Micra will offer two battery options—40 kWh and 52 kWh—providing a range of up to 400 km, depending on the configuration. The Production will take place at Ampere’s Electricity facility in Douai, France, with sales expected to commence by late 2025.
The third-generation Leaf, scheduled for launch in 2025, will flaunt a sleek aerodynamic design. Built on the CMF-EV platform, which is also used for the Ariya, the European version will be manufactured at Nissan’s Sunderland facility in the UK. This production is part of the EV36Zero initiative, integrating electric vehicle manufacturing with renewable energy and battery production.

The Nissan Juke electric SUV will be built on the same CMF-EV platform as the Leaf. The current internal combustion engine (ICE) version of the Juke underwent a facelift last year. In 2023, Nissan confirmed plans to manufacture the new small EV at its Sunderland facility, alongside the Leaf. Both vehicles are expected to share the same production line. The factory will also continue manufacturing the combustion-engine Juke.
Nissan’s e-Power technology is planned for updates in 2025. The upgraded system will debut in the Qashqai crossover SUV. Since its launch in 2022, e-Power vehicles have recorded nearly 250,000 sales across Europe.
