Jaguar is expanding its electric vehicle (EV) lineup with a fully electric luxury sedan, now in development. The car has begun road testing in Europe and will debut during the Design Vision Concept showcase at Miami Art Week on 2 December 2024.
The four-door grand tourer, built on Jaguar Electric Architecture (JEA), has completed extensive virtual and physical testing in the UK. Further tests will be conducted on public roads and test sites worldwide. It will be manufactured at Jaguar’s Solihull facility in the UK.
Camouflaged prototypes reveal a sleek design, featuring a classic grand tourer silhouette with an elongated hood, rearward cabin, and sloping roofline. The upright nose and large wheels highlight stability and performance. A prominent front grille, likely a design feature, hints at Jaguar’s future styling direction, though changes may occur before production.
Jaguar has not confirmed if this EV will launch in India. However, given Tata Motors’ ownership of Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), an Indian debut may happen in late 2025, reflecting rising demand for premium EVs in the region. This EV marks a key step in Jaguar’s shift to an all-electric lineup, with its global debut set for next year.
