The Duvenbeck Group, a logistics and freight forwarding company has forged an alliance with Farizon New Energy Commercial Vehicle Group during the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024 fair in Hanover. This partnership signals a major leap forward for both companies in their pursuit of innovative, sustainable logistics solutions.
The agreement, signed by Duvenbeck CEO Hakan Bicil and Farizon CEO Mike Fan, was attended by senior figures from both organisations, including Duvenbeck’s Chief Procurement Officer Wolfgang Kortus, Corporate Development Head Moritz Kiepen, Farizon Vice President Shangguan Yunfei, and International Marketing General Manager Cook Xue.
This collaboration aims to accelerate the adoption of battery-powered electric commercial vehicles in Europe’s logistics sector, laying the groundwork for a transformative business model. Duvenbeck views the partnership as a strategic move to not only reduce its environmental impact but also to cement its leadership role in green logistics. By working together, both firms seek to redefine the logistics landscape, steering the industry toward an emission-free future.
Under the agreement, Duvenbeck will integrate Farizon’s cutting-edge Homtrucks into its fleet, with the first 50 vehicles scheduled for delivery next year. As Farizon’s preferred logistics partner across Europe, Duvenbeck will also assist the Chinese manufacturer’s ambitious expansion plans, driving the green shift in European goods transportation.
“By using the Farizon Homtrucks, we’re sending a clear signal to promote our joint goal of making transport operations for goods more environmentally-friendly and of actively promoting decarbonisation,” Bicil stated during the signing event in Hanover. “Our partnership is a ground-breaking step to enable us to introduce forward-looking logistics solutions that focus on both efficiency and sustainability.”
Farizon, a subsidiary of Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, ranks among the global leaders in electromobility. Geely, a powerhouse in the automotive sector with brands like Volvo Cars, Polestar, and Smart under its umbrella, views the Duvenbeck partnership as key to its European strategy. Through this alliance, Duvenbeck will take the lead in delivering environmentally responsible logistics solutions, driving Europe closer to a CO2-neutral future.
