Ho Chi Minh City prepares to host the eagerly awaited Vietnam Motor Show (VMS) from October 23 to 27, 2024. Returning after a brief hiatus caused by economic setbacks, this year’s event, co-organized by the Vietnam Automobile Manufacturers’ Association (VAMA) and the Vietnam Automobile Importers Association (VIVA), promises an impressive lineup of exhibits and innovations.
Set against a backdrop of technological advancement and environmental stewardship, VMS 2024 will feature top international automakers including Ford, GAC, Honda, Isuzu, Mitsubishi, Skoda, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, Volkswagen, and Volvo. Notably, the show will expand its scope by introducing motorcycle exhibits from renowned brands such as Honda, SYM, and Yamaha Motor, all showcasing their latest products and breakthrough technologies.
Beyond vehicles, the show serves as a pivotal platform for hundreds of brands from the supporting industries, components, and spare parts sectors. These exhibitors will present the newest smart and eco-friendly technologies, catering to a wide range of car enthusiasts and providing solutions for vehicle ownership in Vietnam.
This year’s theme emphasizes green energy and emission reduction strategies, reflecting VAMA and VIVA’s dedication to supporting Vietnam’s commitment to net-zero emissions by 2050, a pledge made at the 2021 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26).
Complementing the vehicle displays, VMS 2024 will host a seminar focused on the electrification of transport. This seminar aims to spark dialogue on the burgeoning electric vehicle sector, discussing trends and potential developments vital for reducing carbon emissions and fostering a green energy transition within Vietnam.
Anticipated to attract over 200,000 attendees, the five-day exhibition is set to deliver a diverse and innovative experience for visitors, highlighting the transformative impact of the latest automotive technologies on global environmental goals.
