IVECO BUS together with Via have announced two pivotal Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs). These agreements signify a major advancement in on-demand transport solutions, merging IVECO’s eco-friendly vehicles with Via’s sophisticated technological applications.
The initial MoU with Politecnico di Milano aims to develop a bespoke on-demand transport service to streamline campus mobility for students and faculty. This initiative promises to enhance the educational experience by facilitating access and minimizing transit durations.
Concurrently, the partnership with Humanitas focuses on refining mobility for hospital staff and students, offering a practical and accessible transport alternative. This strategy is poised to positively influence daily operations for healthcare professionals and students, optimizing their daily logistics.
Both ventures are supported by insights from the Circular Economy Lab, a collaborative endeavor between Cariplo Factory and Intesa Sanpaolo Innovation Center. This backing ensures that the developed solutions are not only sustainable but also economically sound, embracing circular economy principles.
Marco Franza, Head of Bus Customer Service at IVECO, highlighted the significance of these collaborations. “These agreements demonstrate IVECO BUS’s ambition to go further in its service offering and to explore an integrated transport solution approach. With Via, we are working to provide passengers innovative support services that will offer them the best mobility experience.”
Anthea Greco, Country Manager Italy, Spain, and Portugal for Via, shared her optimism regarding the collaboration. “We are thrilled to work alongside Iveco Bus, Politecnico di Milano and Humanitas to bring transportation innovation to Politecnico di Milano and Humanitas communities,” stated Greco.
“Together, we will leverage our expertise and cutting-edge technology to support the mobility needs of students, faculty, and staff at Politecnico di Milano and at Humanitas, while reducing congestion, improving air quality, and enhancing overall accessibility within the city. This initiative marks the beginning of what we believe will be a series of impactful projects aimed at enhancing urban and corporate transportation,” she added.
These strategic alliances mark a progressive shift toward more integrated, sustainable transport solutions in urban and corporate domains, heralding a future where mobility seamlessly integrates into daily life, transcending mere functionality.
