Audi has broadened its e-mobility spectrum with a sophisticated electric mountain bike (eMTB), designed in partnership with Italian powerhouse Fantic. This limited-edition, enduro-style bike, accessible through Audi Genuine Accessories, combines the brand’s rally lineage with cutting-edge electric technology. The design draws from Audi’s victorious RS Q e-tron racecar, celebrated in the electrified Dakar Rally.
Crafted on the backbone of Fantic’s XEF 1.9 Factory enduro e-bike, the Audi eMTB flaunts a lightweight aluminum frame tailored for agile navigation over challenging terrains, enabling riders to tackle obstacles with ease. Its innovative 29-inch front and 27.5-inch rear wheel setup optimizes rollover performance and cornering agility.
This model is adept across diverse landscapes, from smooth bike paths to demanding off-road trails, thanks to its comprehensive suspension system, Mavic tubeless-ready wheels, and Vittoria e-bike-specific off-road tires. Premium suspension components, including a coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22m.2 rear shock and an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork, afford 180mm of travel. Control and precision are enhanced by a 1×12 drivetrain controlled via SRAM’s GX rear derailleur and an 11-51 tooth rear cassette. Superior stopping power is ensured by Sunstar Braking’s F.I.R.S.T. calipers and S3 Batfly rotors.
Featuring four power modes up to 20 mph—Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost—the eMTB adapts to various riding demands with a battery range that extends from 12 to 90 miles. The 720-Wh, 36-volt lithium-ion battery is neatly integrated into the frame, supplying energy to a silent yet potent Brose S-MAG 250-watt motor, capable of producing up to 90 Nm of torque. Riders can monitor vital statistics including power level, battery life, and speed via a succinct digital display on the handlebars.
