NETA Auto has ignited mass production at its first eco-smart factory situated in Thailand, representing a pivotal advance in its strategy for global market penetration. This development not only reinforces NETA’s foothold in Thailand but also establishes a critical base for its ambitious agenda to dominate the global electric vehicle (EV) market.
The facility, strategically positioned within a Bangkok industrial estate, marks NETA’s initial foray into electric vehicle manufacturing outside China, signaling a strategic shift toward international arenas. Capable of producing 20,000 electric vehicles annually, this factory underscores NETA’s dedication to fueling global energy transformation efforts.
Achieving a significant milestone, NETA’s Thai subsidiary secured the 185 Certificate, a vital endorsement by the Thai government for vehicle production. This authorization enables large-scale operations at NETA’s Thai Ecological Smart Factory, poised to become a principal manufacturing hub for right-hand-drive electric vehicles.
This factory prioritizes localized production to address the green mobility demands of the Thai market and regions beyond. Utilizing innovative models endowed with the latest technology, NETA aspires to fulfill the growing demand within Thailand’s electric vehicle landscape, thus contributing to the nation’s energy transformation ambitions.
Currently, the production line focuses on assembling the NETA V-II, destined for unveiling at the forthcoming Thailand Motor Show. This model, NETA’s second flagship introduction in the Thai market, exemplifies the company’s commitment to diversifying its product array in the locale.
NETA’s strategic blueprint extends far beyond Southeast Asia, with aspirations to infiltrate 60 countries. Having already established a presence in ASEAN, South America, and the Middle East, the expansion strategy is a testament to NETA’s resolve to cement its status as a dominant force in the global new energy vehicle sector.
In 2023, NETA’s global expansion endeavors resulted in overseas sales surpassing 20,000 units, marking a 567% growth year-on-year. This achievement positioned NETA as a leader among new energy vehicle exporters, a stature it aims to reinforce in 2024 by broadening its sales network to encompass 60 countries and establishing 300 overseas sales and service outlets.
The Thailand Eco-Smart Factory signifies the commencement of NETA’s ecological factory blueprint. With additional facilities underway in Indonesia and Malaysia, NETA lays the foundation for an expansive push across Southeast Asia. This strategic move aims to bolster NETA’s procurement system within the region, offering solid support for its swift global expansion and ensuring the broad availability of high-quality smart electric vehicles.
