Ford is expanding its lineup of Tremor-badged models, and the newest addition is the 2026 Explorer Tremor. Launched in 2020 as an off-road package for the Super Duty pickup, Ford’s Tremor sub-brand has expanded over the past five years. It now joins the ranks of the Maverick, Expedition, and F-150 in the brand’s off-road family.
The Explorer Tremor comes equipped with an off-road-focused suspension that raises the vehicle by an additional inch. This includes specially tuned springs and sway bars, enhancing approach and departure angles. Sitting on eighteen-inch wheels wrapped in Bridgestone Dueler all-terrain tires, it’s ready for rugged terrain. Unique elements such as auxiliary lights, orange tow hooks, and bold orange accents, which Ford calls ‘electric spice,’ make this version stand out from the standard Explorer.

The Explorer boasts its capability with added equipment such as three protective steel skid plates, improved ground clearance, and a Torsen rear differential for better traction and off-road performance.
The new version is powered by a turbocharged 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine that delivers 300 horsepower. For drivers craving more performance, the Tremor also offers the same engine found in the high-performance Explorer ST—a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V6 that cranks out an impressive 400 horsepower and 415 pound-feet of torque.

Inside, the Tremor features the same twelve-point-three-inch digital instrument cluster and thirteen-point-two-inch touchscreen infotainment system as all other 2026 Explorer models. A 360-degree camera system is included as a standard option. However, options like the massaging front seats and a fourteen-speaker-B and O sound system come at an additional cost. Ford’s BlueCruise hands-free driving system is also available, and version 1.5 introduces automatic lane changing capability
Ford has declared that the 2026 Explorer Tremor can now be ordered, though deliveries to dealerships are expected to begin later this year. As of now, pricing details for the new model have not been disclosed yet.
