The all-new 2025 Infiniti QX80 is set to make its debut at retailers across the U.S. and Canada. Production is accelerating at Infiniti’s Kyushu plant in Japan, a facility employing over 3,000 local workers and producing the luxury SUV since its second-generation launch in 2010.
This plant recently underwent significant upgrades, preparing the workforce for the assembly of a more stylish, comfortable, and technologically advanced QX80. Akira Kiyota, general foreman and a core member since the prototype phase, expressed immense pride as the new QX80 rolled off the production line.
“When the engine on the first car started and it drove off the line, it was a very rewarding moment, knowing so many teams have worked tirelessly to bring this new Infiniti flagship to life,” Kiyota remarked.
Kiyota highlighted the plant’s meticulous process, where each station operates with precision to ensure the highest quality vehicle is passed to the next, ultimately to the customer. “We always envision the next station as the customer, making the highest quality our utmost priority,” he said.
Infiniti’s global head, Jose Roman, visited the plant to commend the team’s dedication and craftsmanship. “The Kyushu production team’s history of delivering vehicles of exceptional quality is a testament to the customer-first mindset that permeates from each station along the line,”
Roman stated. Praising their efforts, he added, “The new QX80 is the first proof point of Infiniti’s product renaissance and the talented team in Kyushu are assembling and exporting Infiniti’s unique blend of modern luxury to the world.”
The 2025 Infiniti QX80 showcases sophisticated design, first-class hospitality for all three rows of seating, seamless technology, and a commanding driving experience.
